Its best to be prepared for photoshoot day in order to get the best results. The following are some tips, pointers, and best practices from our experienced photographers to help you and your clients be photoshoot-ready!
INTERIOR:
Remove all personal items from plain view. This includes family photographs, achievements, trophies, and portraits.
Check to make sure all lights on the property are in good working order, and replace any lightbulbs if need be. It is recommended that you use warm white lights, but it is not necessary.
Clean property from head to toe. This includes dusting, shining floors, shining any faucets, wiping mirrors, shower glass doors, etc.
Make sure the kitchen counters are cleared of any kitchen tools or foods other than staging items. This includes coffee machines.
If you have any pets, its best to take them to the park for the day while our photographers do their magic. While we love our furry friends, pets can be distracting in the shoot, and can undo your hard work in shining those floors. Pets also shed, so its best to keep them away for photoshoot day, if possible.
Clean windows around the property, an interior wipe will do.
Any sinks around the property need to be dried and shined, including bathroom and kitchen sinks.
EXTERIOR:
Make sure to schedule your photoshoot on any day but the neighbourhood garbage removal day.
Especially when photographing the neighbourhood and drone Aerial Photography & Videography are booked.
Make sure to cut the grass and remove any objects from the property that you do not want photographed. Examples include: children's toys, bikes, basketball nets, garbage containers, etc
Park cars away from property for photoshoot day
Check the exterior lights, if any, and replace any if need be.
